In these Terms & Conditions, “Cairns Funeral Directors”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Cairns Funeral Directors Holdings Pty Limited trading as Cairns Funeral Directors.
Cairns Funeral Directors provides funeral care, cremation services, funeral planning support, memorial services and related services to families in Cairns and surrounding areas.
By accessing or using this website, including making an online payment through the website, you agree to the Terms & Conditions set out below.

Funeral Services
Funeral services, cremation services, memorial services, repatriation services, pre-planning services and any related arrangements are subject to the specific agreement, estimate, invoice or written communication provided to you by Cairns Funeral Directors.
Any prices displayed on this website are provided as a guide only unless expressly stated otherwise. Final costs may vary depending on the services selected, third-party fees, disbursements, personalisation requests, cemetery or crematorium charges, celebrant or clergy fees, flowers, printed materials, memorialisation products and any other additional services requested by the family.
Payment Terms
Payment terms may be set out in your funeral service agreement, invoice or other written communication from Cairns Funeral Directors.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment in full is required 48 hours prior to the date of the service.
All payments under any agreement with Cairns Funeral Directors are due and recoverable by Cairns Funeral Directors.
To the extent permitted by law, any costs and expenses reasonably incurred in recovering amounts owed to Cairns Funeral Directors may be passed on to the customer, including legal costs.
Online Payments
Cairns Funeral Directors provides an online payment option through the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s BPOINT online payment facility.
Online payments through BPOINT are intended for the payment of Cairns Funeral Directors invoices, funeral service accounts or other amounts owing to Cairns Funeral Directors.
When making an online payment, you are responsible for ensuring that:
- – The invoice number, reference number or payment details entered as correct;
- – The amount paid is correct;
- – You are authorised to make the payment;
- – The card or payment method used is valid; and
- – You have reviewed the payment details before submitting the transaction.
Cairns Funeral Directors is not responsible for payments that are delayed, misallocated or unable to be matched because incorrect payment details, invoice numbers or reference information have been provided.
If you believe you have made an incorrect payment, duplicate payment or payment to the wrong account, please contact Cairns Funeral Directors as soon as possible.
Payment Processing
Online payments are processed through BPOINT, a payment facility provided by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
When you make a payment through BPOINT, your payment may be subject to the terms, conditions, security and privacy practices of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and BPOINT. Cairns Funeral Directors does not control the BPOINT platform and is not responsible for any issue arising from the operation, availability or security of the BPOINT payment facility, except to the extent required by law.
Cairns Funeral Directors does not intend to store full credit card or debit card details submitted through the BPOINT online payment facility.
Payment Confirmation
A payment confirmation or receipt may be issued after a successful online payment. You should retain a copy of any payment confirmation for your records.
Please note that a payment confirmation does not necessarily mean that your account has been fully settled if there are other outstanding amounts, additional services, third-party charges or adjustments that apply to your funeral arrangement.
Refunds
Refund requests will be reviewed by Cairns Funeral Directors on a case-by-case basis.
Approved refunds will generally be returned using the original payment method where possible. Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment method, bank processing times and the circumstances of the refund.
Refunds may apply where:
- – An overpayment has been made;
- – A duplicate payment has been made;
- – An incorrect amount has been paid; or
- – Cairns Funeral Directors determines that a refund is appropriate in the circumstances.
Refunds may not be available for services already provided, costs already incurred, third-party disbursements paid on your behalf, or goods and services specially arranged or ordered for a funeral service, except as required by law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
Cancellations and Changes
Funeral arrangements may involve professional services, staff time, third-party suppliers, venue bookings, crematorium or cemetery bookings, transport, documentation, printed materials, flowers, catering, celebrants, clergy, audiovisual services and other arrangements.
If you request to cancel or change a funeral service or related arrangement, any refund or adjustment will depend on the circumstances, including the timing of the request, services already provided, costs already incurred and any third-party supplier terms.
Please contact Cairns Funeral Directors directly as soon as possible if you need to discuss changes to an arrangement.
Privacy
Cairns Funeral Directors respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
